Love Outreach Food Pantry is seeking to hire a new director.

Title: Director: Love Outreach Food Pantry and Clothes Closet
Part-time: Approximately 20 hours per week.
Job Objective: Under the direction of the Advisory Board of Love Outreach Food Pantry and Clothes Closet of Orange, Virginia incumbent, consistent with the mission of Love Outreach, keeps the Advisory Board informed of all vital information, prepares for and attends all Board meetings and coordinates with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (BRAFB) and the USDA. Incumbent will perform day-to-day operational duties, interact, respectively with volunteer staff and clients, prepare and submit necessary reports to BRAFB and the USDA, address and resolve all concerning issues and view online and/or attend required BRAFB meetings.
Essential Job Functions:
- Attend all Board meetings and inform Board of ongoing Love Outreach events, developments and occurrences.
- Oversee the daily function of the Love Outreach team leaders and volunteers and meet with team leaders monthly. Report and track service hours.
- Collaborate with all vendors (Orange and Gordonsville Food Lions, Sheetz, KFC, etc.) and keep up-to-date inventories and records.
- Prepare and place orders for groceries. (BRAFB, Schenks, Food Lion, Bread Co, etc.) Purchase additional items as needed.
- Coordinate deliveries with vendors and work with and manage schedules for any maintenance suppliers (HVAC, Snow removal, Refuse Pick-up, etc.)
- Use Electronic equipment in preparing reports, memorandums, meeting minutes, and inventories. Submit necessary documents to correct agencies or individuals in timely fashion.
- Attend or view required BRAFB meetings and videos. Follow up on any BRAFB emails and directives.
- Prepare and forward press releases for all media, including television and radio, Facebook website and BRAFB website.
- Assure facility is safe, clean and operational and make sure all systems are in good repair.
- Manage and resolve issues or concerns of clients and/or volunteers.
- Serve as Onsite representative to Law Enforcement and Emergency Personnel as needed.
- Serve as lead in fund-raising activities and community events.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Duties may change to match the needs of the pantry.
- This job description is subject to change at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to interact with others pleasantly and positively.
- First level management experience.
- Experience in developing and maintaining inventories, budgets and records.
- Valid driver’s license with clear driving record.
- Ability to submit to Criminal Background Check.

Deodorant, feminine hygiene items, diapers, adult briefs, etc.
Tooth paste, toilet paper, soap (we give out each month)
Tooth brushes, shampoo (we give out Nov., Feb, May, Aug.)
Laundry detergent (we give out Dec., March, June, Sept.)
Dish detergent (we give out Jan., April, July, Oct.)
The Clothes Closet is located at the front of the building and is open the same hours as the Food Pantry. Clients may come to the Clothes Closet once a month. Donations of SEASONAL, CLEAN, GENTLY USED clothes, shoes, bedding, blankets, and towels are accepted during open hours and on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. We can only accept NEW, PACKAGED underwear. All items at the Clothes Closet are FREE. We gladly accept monetary donations to purchase new items.

Love Outreach is an all volunteer 501C nonprofit organization. The Food Pantry partners with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and is also supported by food and financial donations from the Orange County Community. The Clothes Closet is also supported by clothing donations and financial donations from the Orange County community. Donations can be brought to the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet during open hours or on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
